The work produced by the research laboratory is organized around four major topics, which seek to find answers to two pivotal groups of questions :

What is about the city that gives rise to political mobilisation ? The Chair proposes two venues for research :A. City-Insecurity-Mobilization B. City-Mobility-Mobilization

How does the city build itself up as a new political space within the context of the State’s reconfiguration ? How do urban challenges contribute to modifying the role of the State in the management of insecurity ?

The major topics are : mobility, informality, urbanization and Political Actions.

We work with various population groups : artists, villagers, street vendors, domestic workers. But the VESPA focuses most specifically on Youth.
